I ‘m fluent in Greek, but I have the Greek alphabet only on my I-phone. Must install it on computer asap to start emails in Greek.
My parents are from KARAVAS where I have spent numerous summer breaks. Yiayia’s home is adjacent to the School right at the bend of the village road sto Neohori.
I was born and raised in Egypt, then moved to the USA with scholarship for graduate work, and subsequently stayed and taught at several campuses, mostly in Texas and Ohio. Now I have retired in clean, crisp, cool, sparsely populated northwest state of Idaho.
Today is St. Paraskevi’s memorial feast. May she protect our eyes so we can praise Her every single day as we read and write and educate. Amen!

May Greece overcome the most recent tragic event outside Athens. Kythera has had its share of fires and destruction of trees, land, property. O Theos na valei to heri Tou!
